Nurture Your Child's Development

The American Academy of Pediatrics has published guidelines about normal child development, and what you can do to help your child to achieve the skills that children need to learn in the critical first three years of life.

The "Healthy Minds" program shows you what the important milestones are for each age, why they are important, and how these activities would look in an average child in everyday life. To see the report, click on "Key findings".

The ZERO TO THREE foundation has also compiled a list of things that parents can do to help their child learn the skills for each age. It also lists questions to ask yourself about your child's development, which will show if your child is on the right track. Click on: "What you can do".
