Some children (under 5 years old only) have a tendency to get a mild convulsion when they have a rapidly increasing temperature. This is called a febrile convulsion, lasts only a few minutes, and is completely harmless. It does not lead to epilepsy, brain damage or any other problems, and is not considered dangerous at all.
