WRONG!

It's true that viruses are not affected by antibiotics, but many doctors use antibiotics to try to prevent bacterial complications like pneumonia. It has been shown in many good studies that antibiotics do nothing to prevent pneumonia and other complications of viral infections. Instead, the pneumonia will still occur, but will be resistant to the antibiotic used, so it cannot be treated with that antibiotic. This leads to more antibiotic resistance but never prevents complications!
